Two kinds of information

USbznes holds information about the people who use it (account holders) and public filing records about businesses. We treat them differently.

Account holders

  • What we keep: your name, email, workspace name, a hash of your password, your API keys (stored hashed), your saved lists, alerts and settings, and a log of the calls your workspace makes.
  • Payments: Stripe handles card details. We never see or store your card number.
  • Postcards: if you send postcards, the recipient addresses and your design go to our print partner, Lob.
  • Cookies: only the session and security cookies the site needs to sign you in and protect its forms. No advertising or tracking cookies. The Remove my info form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam.

We use this to run your account, bill you and keep the service safe. We don't sell it, and we don't share it except with the providers that run the service for us and where the law requires.

Those providers: Stripe (payments), Lob (postcards), Cloudflare (our network, caching and the spam check on forms), our email provider (sign-in and alert emails) and AIFormFlow (the Join the list form).

Business filing records

Filings come from public records published by each state: business name, filing date, type, status, principal address, registered agent and, where the state publishes them, officer names. We don't add phone numbers or emails.

Remove my info

If your business is in USbznes and you don't want to be contacted, use Remove my info. Once you confirm by email, we take down the public page for your filing and leave your business out of every customer's lists, exports, alerts and postcards from then on. The state's own public record is not changed.

Keeping and deleting account data

We keep account data while your account is open. To delete your account and its data, email us from the address on the account.
